Tom Swan has been Executive Director of the Connecticut Citizen Action Group (CCAG) since 1993 except for several leaves of absence to run political campaigns, including Ned Lamont's campaign for U.S. Senate. CCAG is Connecticut's oldest and largest multi-issue social justice organization. CCAG staffs the Health Care for All Coalition and works on a variety of other issues including corporate responsibility and environmental protection. Swan was the founding Director of YouthAction, a national non-profit that worked in partnership with community-based organizations to develop opportunities for young people in social justice efforts. Prior to starting YouthAction, Swan served as President of the U.S. Student Association (USSA) for two years.
