Like the schools it supports, SERC is first and foremost a provider of education. For decades, SERC has been known for its catalog and newsletters of professional learning opportunities covering its range of projects and initiatives. We continue to offer these sessions and conferences that provide education professionals the space to get together and learn from one another outside of a school setting.
These usually scheduled activities may take the form of study groups and hands-on learning—such as the use of technology—in addition to traditional workshops. Some may provide participants the opportunity to meet for an all-day session, practice in the field what they have learned, and then return to debrief and learn from one another’s experiences.
Other activities may include an added option for technical assistance within a school. SERC can also adapt much of the content of these scheduled activities into personalized technical assistance instead of off-site training.
