SERC works within schools to ensure access to best teaching and learning practices for every child. We provide a variety of professional learning experiences—such as technical assistance, discussion groups, and team support—to help schools meet their goals in curriculum and instruction.

Support for school teams include analyzing the compliance of individualized education programs (IEPs), conducting an Educational Benefit Review Process, supporting schools’ audits of their assistive technology and accessible educational materials, guiding literacy data teams, and a range of other supports. All promote every students’ access to and participation and progress in the general education curriculum.

SERC contracts with school districts to enhance their capacity to use strategies and techniques that meet the unique learning goals of every individual.

We work collaboratively with the districts to help build multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for students with a range of needs and abilities. We help districts plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate MTSS, including Scientific Research-Based Interventions (SRBI) and behavioral frameworks, namely Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
