Library Policies

Borrowing Library Resources

Membership:  Membership to the Library is contingent upon a person’s home address, 2 phone numbers, home, work, or cell phone number, and email address.  We also use a driver’s license as an alternate ID.  The Library does not share its membership database with any other organizations.
Loan periods:  You may use the resources for a 3 week loan period (21 days). Returned resources need to be left in the Library for 7 days before you can borrow them again.
Renewals:  The Library does allow a one week (7 days) renewal if the resources are not on reserve for another patron.
Copy Fees:  The Library charges $0.10 for copies from resources, journals and online databases.
Overdue Fees:  The Library does charge per day per resource(s) for overdue fines.  The fine for Books, Instructional Materials (IM), Vertical File pamphlets (VF), Young People’s books (YP), Family books (FAM), CD-ROMs, SFCP resources and web resources is $0.05 per day per resource.  There is a fine of $0.25 per day per resource for Inservice Education (IE) resources and Tests.
Drop Box:  Resources must be returned when the Library is open.  Due to the unique collection and size of our resources the Library does not have a drop box.  Please see hours.

Cell Phone Use

Cell phone conversations are prohibited in the Library.  Please turn your ringer to vibrate before entering the Library and take calls outside of the Library.

Food and Drink

In order to protect computer hardware, we ask that you do not eat or drink while using the patron computers.   You may drink at the long tables.
