Orientation for new General Education Administrators about Special Education Procedures/Practices Featured

This two-day series will orient new general education administrators to specific special education procedures and practices to support students with disabilities. The series will cover and apply the topics of critical special education procedures such as Child Find; Evaluation Procedures and Timelines; Least Restrictive Environment (LRE); the Educational Benefit standard; understanding the IEP manual and forms; Planning and Placement Team (PPT) facilitation strategies; and engaging families of students with disabilities in understanding special education services and supports as well as their role at the PPT.
