Amy Wiltse

Director of Development, Central Connecticut Coast YMCA

A Stratford, CT native, Amy (Doherty) Wiltsie is a graduate of the Stratford Public School system who chose to return and settle in Stratford after receiving her undergraduate degree in Human Services from the University of Connecticut. A wife, a mother and veteran child welfare social worker, Amy returned to Post University for a Master in Human Services; Non Profit Management in 2013. Realizing her true passion in philanthropy and development, Amy completed her MS and found her home as the Development Director of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA. Serving the needs of others has always been the undertone of all she set out to accomplish, and her fulfillment comes by knowing her organization can serve ALL, regardless of their ability to pay for programming. As a mother, and SPS graduate, Amy ran for the Stratford Board of Education in 2019 to increase transparency, communication and effective collaboration between the schools and the Stratford community. She has served as the Vice Chair since being elected. She and her husband James are proud to call Stratford home, and have three children Ryann, 18, a freshman at the University of South Carolina, Raegan, 14, a freshman at Stratford High School and Jack, 12, is in the seventh grade at Wooster Middle School. Amy works hard to ensure children have the tools they need to succeed, in all areas, at all times.
