SERC is pleased to congratulate our friend Jessica Sager, the Chief Executive Officer of All Our Kin, for being selected as a 2017 lifetime Ashoka Fellow. Jessica has been a Board member of the SERC Foundation since the Foundation was founded in 2015.

Ashoka Fellows represent “the world’s leading social entrepreneurs,” according to the Arlington, Va.-based Ashoka organization. “Ashoka Fellows champion new ideas that transform society’s systems, providing benefits for everyone and improving the lives of millions of people.”

Jessica was chosen for working to “transform the field of child care by radically re-imagining how family child care providers see themselves: as early childhood educators and business owners who are a critical component of an early childhood system that meets the needs of all families,” according to All Our Kin.

All Our Kin, based in New Haven, trains and supports community child care providers, helping them succeed as business owners.
