A Conference on Working Together to Keep Our Students in School and Engaged.

Connecticut has launched a campaign to reduce chronic absenteeism by keeping students "IN SCHOOL AND ENGAGED." It began with the fifth "Connecting Faith, Families & Schools for Student Success" conference, held October 23, 2014 at Wesleyan University. The event is designed to facilitate partnerships and included educators, representatives of faith-based organizations, community leaders, and families from across the state. The conference is led by the CT State Department of Education, the State Education Resource Center (SERC) and the CT Parent Information and Resource Center (CT PIRC) at SERC, with support from the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund.
