ATTENTION: Please be advised that The SERC Library ceased operations as of Friday, June 29, 2018. The rest of the agency continues normal operations.
It is SERC's hope to reopen and resume Library services in the future.
The SERC Library provides individualized and group tours of the Library for graduate/undergraduate students and others interested in learning about how the Library operates and its various collections.
Individualized tours can be conducted on a walk-in basis.
Group tours, however, are conducted by appointment.
For professors or instructors wanting to have their students tour the Library as part of a class assignment, the Library can provide signed letters to students as proof of visitation.
The SERC Library provides overviews for college/university classes, and for organizations and school personnel. Overviews offer a comprehensive look at the Library collections, research databases, the blog, and borrowing policies. Prior to a scheduled overview, professors, instructors, and school personnel supervisors may also work with Library staff members to provide additional class assignments or “scavenger hunt” activities to further enhance learning through the Library.
Overviews can be scheduled with or without the presence of professors, instructors, and school personnel supervisors. In their absence, the Library can provide them with a list of participants, if needed.
