  • CT Parent Advocacy Center (CPAC) is a statewide nonprofit organization that offers information and support to families of children with any disability or chronic illness, age birth through 26. The Center is committed to the idea that parents can be the most effective advocates for their children, given the confidence that knowledge and understanding of special education law and its procedures can bring.
  • Family Guide to SRBI reviews what SRBI are and includes questions families might want to ask their child’s school or program to learn more about how schools are using SRBI as a framework to improve teaching and learning.  Also included here are ways families can be a part of the decision-making process and what to do when they have concerns about their child’s progress. 
  • National Center on Student Progress Monitoring has a section on its website for families, with easy-to-read information that explains the benefits of implementing student progress monitoring for the student, the teacher and the family. 
  • RTI Action Network contains a section for families that has resources regarding RTI and LD identification.
