In this professional learning activity, teachers of secondary math will be exposed to strategies and skills that will assist them in developing math skills for students, including students with disabilities. By incorporating universal design for learning (UDL) principles into their instruction, teachers will provide better access to the Connecticut Core Standards for Mathematics to all learners.
This blended learning opportunity will include one day of professional learning and follow-up technical assistance and classroom visits. Participants will receive feedback on implementing strategies to increase students' math skills though the application of UDL principles.
Audience: Math Teachers, Math Coaches, Special Education Teachers, and Paraeducators
